Enduris is recruiting qualified applicants for a Director of Finance to direct, coordinate, and manage the finance and accounting functions for the organization.
The successful candidate for the position of Director of Finance at Enduris will possess the following attributes: experience with a variety of accounting systems and organizations, ability to reconcile between accounting and operating systems, experience with cost accounting and detailed analysis, ability to manage data and prepare meaningful analysis, experience in financial management, and experience in providing leadership and vision to assist an organization in meeting its long-term goals. The successful candidate must be a confident communicator with an ability to understand complex issues and explain them simply.
A Bachelor’s degree is required; CPA is preferred. Experience in industry accounting is preferred.
This is an exempt position with salary commensurate with education and experience. Enduris also provides an excellent benefit package.
The Director of Finance is an exempt employee who reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
The Director of Finance plans, coordinates and manages the accounting and finance functions within the organization.
Coordinates preparation of annual budget
Develops, implements and maintains accounting polices and procedures in conjunction with the Administrative Policies and Procedures
Develops and maintains Enduris financial records
Prepares Enduris annual financial audit report
Coordinates organization’s annual financial audit
Assures Enduris’ accounting system, records and external reports are compliant with state regulators
Prepares comprehensive annual financial report
Prepares monthly financial reports
Prepares operating reports
Prepares quarterly and annual tax reports
Coordinates submission of data to broker for member renewal and excess coverage renewal
Prepares financial reports as requested for the executive director and management team
Maintains accuracy of financial software, i.e. Sage, Origami
Oversees Enduris’ payroll system
Oversees employee benefits system
Assures Enduris’ fixed and attractive assets are properly maintained and catalogued
Develops and implements internal controls
Reviews banking and investment policies and makes recommendations to the CEO
Prepares reports for members, staff, Executive Director, and Board of Directors
Prepares cost accounting and detailed analysis reports
Reconciles claims payment system to actuarial reports and accounting system
Prepares financial analyses on claims data
Prepares risk financing analyses
Coordinates data analyses and reports for the management team
Prepares and submits data to actuary for reserve analysis
Leads the data analytics committee
Regularly attends and
Prepares for and attends all staff meetings
Attends appropriate conferences
Attends Enduris board meetings as requested
Assures timely and accurate submission of:
State risk manager quarterly reports
State audit report
Comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR)
Calculates financial benchmarks to meet state requirements
Comprehensive financial plan
Performs other duties as assigned
Talking. Must frequently convey detailed information and must interact with coworkers and other professionals.
Finger Dexterity. Uses primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, ten-key operation, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together.
Repetitive Motions. Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Physical Strength. Primarily sedentary work; sitting most of the time, although occasional walking and lifting required. Exerts up to 5lbs of force occasionally, and up to 40 lbs of force infrequently (almost all office related).
