Sexual harassment has been making headlines for over a year. Whether it is on the news or in social media, harassment is being talked about like never before. Employees and employers are asking what they can do to prevent harassing behavior from taking place in their workplaces. In "Preventing Workplace Harassment", Jim Webber will explain the laws of Harassment and address what individuals can do to stop harassing conduct from becoming part of the workplace. Learning objectives for this training include:
• The legal definition of "sexual harassment"
• The other forms of unlawful harassment (i.e. age, religion...)
• Understanding how bias can lead to workplace harassment
• Becoming familiar with types of prohibited behaviors and the power of your workplace's
Code of Conduct
• Knowing what to do if you or a co-worker is being harassed
Jim Webber is the author of the blog "Evil Skippy at Work" at www.evilskippyatwork.com and also an experienced attorney, investigator, trainer and consultant who has worked with thousands of employees across the country. He started Jim Webber Training-Consulting-Investigations in 2007 after having spent over twenty years practicing employment law in the private and public sectors. He now works one-on-one with employers of all sizes conducting internal investigations and providing effective training on everything from harassment prevention and supervisory skills to customer service techniques.
