Cybersecurity: State of the Nation and Ransomware – What you Need to Know to Keep Your Organization Safe

Keeping current on the trends in cybersecurity is not only important, we believe that it is an obligation you have to your stakeholders. This session will focus on the most common threats, ransomware, and how to mitigate the threats through managerial, technical, and physical controls. Finally, Michael will be available to answer your specific questions.

About the Speaker:

As a former law enforcement officer and United States Marine, and having been in a wide range of IT Security roles, including Chief Security Officer, Chief Information Security Officer, Lead Auditor, Ethical Hacking Consultant, and many more. Mike is adept at leading a risk-based approach to security that ensures unacceptable risks are prioritized and managed while working to keep the user experience positive. This approach minimizes costs and maximizes value. Mike holds a Master of Science in Information Assurance and teaches cybersecurity from basic workshops to graduate degree programs.
