HR professionals, department heads or managers, mayors, city managers/administrators, and anyone else who may be involved in the hiring process.

Description:

This training will provide valuable insights and practical guidance on navigating the complexities of public sector recruitment and hiring processes, ensuring legal compliance and best practices are followed. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the key steps involved in recruitment, from advertising to making the final offer. You will learn about:

  • Navigating the advertisement process and post-pandemic recruitment issues.
  • Reviewing applications and moving forward with the interview process.
  • Running reference and background checks.
  • Making the offer and what you need to know about the probationary period.

 

Registration:
  • Advance registration is required to participate
  • Separate registration is required for each session
  • Register by June 22, 2024
  • Registration fee – No charge for Enduris members
  • Participation is recommended for all four parts

 

Cancellation:

Cancellation is required prior to the training.  A no-show fee of $50 will be billed if cancellation is not received at least 2 days prior to each session.
