General Liability Deductible and Pre-Litigation Defense Program Enhancements

Enduris is committed to supporting our members by making coverage clearer and access to assistance more streamlined. We’re pleased to share the following important updates for Policy Year (PY) 2026:

Removal of General Liability Deductible

Effective in Policy Year 2026, Enduris is removing the General Liability deductible for all members who had a $1,000 deductible in PY 2025.

Why this change?
Our goal is to encourage members to report all liability claims to Enduris, no matter how minor they may seem. Liability claims can evolve quickly, and early notification enables us to provide timely guidance and defense resources. By removing this deductible, we hope to eliminate any hesitation members might have about reporting a claim as soon as one arises.

If your entity had a $1,000 General Liability deductible in PY 2025, you will no longer have a deductible for General Liability coverage in PY 2026.

Employment practice liability claims are still subject to a 20% copay, which may be waived at the discretion of the Director of Claims or the Executive Director if the pre-litigation program is used.

Expanded Pre-Litigation Defense Program

We have also expanded our Pre-Litigation Defense Program beyond Employment Liability to better serve you.

This program aims to reduce potential litigation, legal fees, and indemnity payouts by intervening early, before a claim or lawsuit is officially filed. Eligible members may receive legal consultation or representation for emerging legal matters that could lead to claims.

Highlights of the enhanced program:

  • Available for a broader range of potential liability issues, not just employment-related matters.
  • Designed to provide proactive legal support.
  • Helps members avoid or lessen the financial and legal impact of future litigation.

To access pre-litigation defense services, members must contact the Director of Claims directly to initiate a request.
