Trip and Fall Incidents

Should you receive notification about a trip and fall at your district’s property, notify Enduris immediately and start to gather information. Please take photos of the location of the fall, complete an incident report, and ask employees who witnessed the fall for a written statement.

It is very important that you do not accept liability, Enduris will complete an investigation to determine liability.

Often the patron would like to inform the district of a tripping hazard and does not intend to file a claim, instead they want to be reassured that the hazard will be looked into. Note that you still need to inform Enduris of the incident as soon as possible.

They may claim damages and seek to be reimbursed for medical bills and other expenses. If they are seeking to file a claim, provide them with a Claim for Damages packet and let us know as soon as possible.
